SGB-SMIT Group - SGB MY Hiring! Full Time Purchasing Executive in Negeri Sembilan - Ricebowl

Responsible for OIT - Winding & Core Insulation Materials, Valve, Gasket, Bakelite sheet, Copper busbar.

CRT - Insulation accessories items, Dome Protection Acrylic, FRP, Changeover contact & relevant fuse socket.

1. Responsible for ensuring all materials, parts, and goods for mass production are secured in a timely manner

     • Monthly review of safety stocks

     • Common items to be purchased based on the safety stock guideline – especially long lead time items

     • Frame contract reference and review from the Group – price validity

     • Work closely with OIT production & OPC in order to react quickly for urgent requirements

     • Attend daily production meeting (DPM)

2. Purchase Order Issuance and delivery supervision

     • Review the PR list generated on a daily basis, and initiate purchase activity for all the shortages

     • PO issuance in a timely manner via SAP

     • Make necessary arrangements with Warehouse, Finance, and Logistic with items related to incoterm,   

        payment term and standard packaging for the respective supplier & PO

     • Equip the items with the right reference of HS codes in accordance with local authorities' requirements

     • Constant follow-up & close tracking for the pending items for JIT practices

     • To ensure the CAR is replied to by the respective supplier

     • Non-billing DO (good replacement)

     • Credit Note (monetary reimbursement) or Debit Note (monetary claim)

     • Insurance claim on goods (where applicable)

3. Supplier development and cost competitiveness

     • Sourcing for backup and alternative suppliers to avoid shortage items and supply interruption

     • Develop new local sources for overseas material for cost-saving purposes and smooth SCM practice

     • Register and update Supplier master list as per MS ISO 9001: 2015

     • Conduct supplier evaluation and supplier audit accordingly

     • Prepare cost-saving report on a monthly basis

4. Indirect purchases – Sourcing and negotiating the best price and terms for all PR from Maintenance and Warehouse

REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement and vendor management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with procurement software and supply chain management systems.
