TECHNICAL MARKETING ENGINEER

Glass Manufacturing Industry

Location: Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

Salary: RM7,000 per month

MYFutureJobs is assisting an established company in the glass manufacturing industry to recruit an experienced Technical Marketing Engineer for its manufacturing operation in Seremban.

The successful candidate will act as the main technical liaison between the China Headquarters and the Malaysia manufacturing plant, supporting technology transfer, process implementation, production troubleshooting and customer technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology transfer, engineering standards and technical implementation between China Headquarters and the Malaysia plant.

• Provide technical support for Low-E glass, coated glass, insulated glass, laminated glass, tempered glass, silk-screen glass and ceramic-frit glass.

• Work with R&D, Engineering and Technical teams in China to introduce new products, manufacturing methods and process improvements.

• Review technical drawings, product specifications, process parameters, equipment manuals and engineering documents.

• Resolve production issues, product defects, equipment-performance problems and quality-related matters.

• Conduct root-cause analysis, production trials, process validation and corrective or preventive actions.

• Support the localisation of manufacturing technologies, technical standards and quality requirements.

• Review customer project specifications, architectural requirements, product-performance criteria and relevant glass standards.

• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Sales and Marketing teams.

• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, work instructions and training materials.

• Conduct technical training and knowledge-transfer sessions for local engineers, technicians and production employees.

• Monitor developments in architectural glass technology, manufacturing processes, market requirements and competitor products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Glass Science or a related field.

• Minimum eight years of experience in architectural glass manufacturing.

• Hands-on experience in Low-E or coated glass, insulated glass, laminated glass, tempered glass, silk-screen glass or ceramic-frit glass.

• Experience in manufacturing technology transfer, process implementation, production troubleshooting and product-defect analysis.

• Able to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, process parameters and manufacturing documents.

• Experience working with overseas headquarters, technical centres or R&D teams.

• Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required for direct technical communication with China Headquarters and for reviewing bilingual technical documents.

• Able to train and transfer technical knowledge to local engineers, technicians and production employees.

• Willing to travel to China or other manufacturing locations when required.
