Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Human Resource Generalist role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience managing foreign worker administration and work permit processes.
  • Experience maintaining ISO 9001 or other ISO Quality Management System documentation is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act and statutory requirements.
  • Familiar with SQL and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of Human Resource functions, including recruitment, on boarding, confirmation, performance management, employee engagement and off boarding.
  • Lead recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and coordinating hiring with department heads.
  • Handle payroll inputs, attendance, leave administration and employee records.
  • Administer employment contracts, confirmation, promotion, transfer, resignation and termination documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act, Occupational Safety & Health requirements and other Malaysian labour laws.
  • Manage all administrative matters relating to foreign workers, including work permit renewals, passport renewals, FOMEMA medical examinations, immigration documentation, hostel records, and liaison with relevant government agencies and appointed vendors.
  • Maintain and update employee records relating to foreign workers to ensure compliance with statutory and immigration requirements.
  • Coordinate and maintain ISO documentation, HR procedures, work instructions, records and document control to ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management System.
  • Support internal and external ISO audits, prepare required HR documentation, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate employee training programmes and administer HRD Corp grant applications and claims.
  • Handle employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries and grievance management.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports, including manpower planning, absenteeism, turnover and recruitment status.
  • Organise employee engagement activities, welfare programmes and company events.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, HRD Corp, Immigration Department and other relevant authorities.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties assigned by Management.
