Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and procurement regulations.
- Resolve supplier performance issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, production, and warehouse teams to forecast purchasing needs.
- Track procurement metrics and prepare purchasing reports.
- Lead, train, and supervise purchasing staff, where applicable.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
