Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements.
  • Prepare job advertisements and maintain recruitment databases.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support hiring needs.
  • Participate in employer branding and recruitment activities.

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee enquiries, grievances, disciplinary matters, and investigations.
  • Support managers in resolving employee relations issues.
  • Prepare HR-related correspondence, including warning letters, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and other employment documents.
  • Promote a positive and harmonious working environment.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate the performance appraisal process and ensure timely completion.
  • Assist managers in setting KPIs and monitoring employee performance.
  • Follow up on probation reviews, confirmations, and performance improvement plans.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external training programmes.
  • Maintain employee training records and monitor training effectiveness.
  • Support leadership development and employee growth initiatives.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • Employment Act 1955
  • Sarawak Labour Ordinance (and Sabah Labour Ordinance where applicable)
  • Industrial Relations legislation
  • Occupational Safety and Health legislation
  • Other applicable Malaysian employment laws and regulations
  • Keep HR documentation updated and ensure statutory compliance.

Employee Engagement

  • Organise employee engagement activities, company events, and wellness initiatives.
  • Support employee recognition and retention programmes.
  • Assist in promoting a positive workplace culture.

HR Administration

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports, recruitment statistics, and other HR-related reports.
  • Support HR process improvements and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, including the Sarawak Labour Ordinance (and Sabah Labour Ordinance where applicable).
  • Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
  • Mandarin speaker is an added advantage.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
