Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Responsible for executing preventive, corrective, and integrity maintenance activities on static equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of offshore facilities. The role supports equipment availability, production reliability, and compliance with Safety Critical Elements (SCE), HSE requirements, company procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.


Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and uphold the UZMA WAY in all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all work activities are executed in accordance with company policies, Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with Permit to Work (PTW), isolation procedures, and safety requirements prior to commencing any maintenance activity.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required and support safe resolution during emergency situations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on static equipment, including pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Execute planned maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and breakdown activities to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
  • Support static equipment integrity activities including corrosion monitoring, thickness measurement, leak inspection, and equipment condition checks.
  • Identify equipment defects, abnormalities, leaks, corrosion issues, or potential integrity concerns and report promptly to the Supervisor.
  • Support equipment inspection activities and ensure identified issues are properly recorded and followed up.
  • Maintain equipment reliability by ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to approved schedules.
  • Monitor operating conditions of static equipment and report any abnormal findings or potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, equipment history, and operational logbooks.
  • Ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and materials prior to execution of maintenance activities.
  • Identify critical spare parts requirements and highlight replenishment needs to support maintenance readiness.
  • Ensure company assets remain compliant with client requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, inspection teams, contractors, and clients to achieve safe and effective execution of work activities.
  • Provide technical support and share knowledge with team members, including coaching and on-the-job guidance for junior personnel.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and competency in static equipment maintenance and integrity management.
  • Maintain professional conduct and positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and business partners.
  • Support offshore operations and field activities as required.
  • Perform loading, unloading, handling, and preparation of tools and associated surface equipment in accordance with job requirements.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the PWIM Supervisor.


Job Requirements

  • Possess a recognised Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum three (3) years of offshore experience in production operations, maintenance, or static equipment integrity activities.
  • Experience working with static equipment maintenance in oil and gas facilities is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of static equipment maintenance practices and integrity management principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant API and ASME standards related to static equipment, including API 510, API 570, and ASME B16.5.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting, inspection support, and maintenance activities on static equipment.
  • Good understanding of HSE requirements, PTW systems, isolation procedures, and offshore maintenance practices.
  • Possess valid Offshore Medical Certificate, BOSIET, and other relevant offshore certifications.
  • Marine Certificate of Competency (CoC) Motorship in accordance with STCW standards will be an added advantage.
  • Recognised DOSH ICE Engine Driver certification will be an added advantage.
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in offshore operating environments.
  • Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to continuously improve technical knowledge and skills.
