JOB OVERVIEW
Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety procedures. The main objective is to identify workplace hazards, minimize risks, ensure strict compliance with legal frameworks, and promote a zero-accident culture.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Risk Assessments: Conduct regular site walkthroughs and job safety analyses (JSA) to mitigate operational risks.
- Safety Training: Organize and conduct safety induction briefings, daily toolbox talks, and emergency evacuation drills.
- Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analysis for any near-misses, property damage, or injuries, and prepare formal compliance reports.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all site operations comply with OSHA/DOSH statutory provisions and environmental laws.
- PPE Management: Monitor, enforce, and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) across all worker tiers.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date health and safety logs, accident registers, and safety performance metrics.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- Certifications: Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH / NIOSH (Green Book holder or local equivalent).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience managing safety within construction, port, or manufacturing environments.
- Skills: Expert knowledge of local safety regulations, strong auditing capabilities, and clear communication skills.
