Job Description

Responsibilities

Project Location: Power Plant, Sipitang, Sabah

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical and control systems.
  • Prepare, review, and manage commissioning documentation, including ITR-B, ITR-C, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Method of Statement (MOS), commissioning procedures, checklists, and related records.
  • Coordinate and supervise vendors, subcontractors, and project teams during equipment and plant commissioning.
  • Execute and monitor pre-commissioning, commissioning, functional testing, loop checking, and system start-up activities.
  • Support Performance Acceptance Test (PASA), plant start-up, and system handover activities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve commissioning issues together with construction, QA/QC, engineering, and client representatives.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and HSE requirements.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, and progress updates to support project completion.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management based on project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in electrical engineering, control systems, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Experience in power plant, industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or renewable energy projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS, and automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, control logic diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with vendors, contractors, clients, and project teams.
  • Familiar with industry standards, commissioning procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Competent Electrical Supervisor Certificate or relevant competency certification is an added advantage.
  • Willing to be stationed at Sipitang, Sabah and travel as required for project activities.

Benefits

  • Contract basis: 3–6 months.
  • Company provides accommodation and transportation during project assignment.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
