Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Photo & Video Editor role based in Kuching, with flexibility for some work from home. The Photo & Video Editor will review, select, and organize raw photo and video assets from shoots, ensuring files are properly labeled and stored. The role includes editing photos for color, exposure, and composition, as well as cutting and assembling video footage, adding transitions, basic motion graphics, sound, and music to produce polished content. The editor will collaborate closely with photographers, videographers, and clients to align visuals with project goals, brand guidelines, and timelines. Day-to-day tasks also involve preparing final deliverables in suitable formats for social media, web, and print, and maintaining consistent quality across all projects.

Qualifications

• Strong photo editing skills with experience in tools such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop or equivalent software.
• Proficient video editing abilities using applications like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar non-linear editors.
• Basic motion graphics and color grading knowledge to enhance visual storytelling for diverse projects.
• Understanding of visual composition, framing, and lighting principles for both photography and videography.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback from team members and clients.
• Familiarity with social media and digital content formats, including aspect ratios, resolutions, and export settings.
• Relevant experience in event, wedding, or commercial editing; a portfolio showcasing photo and video work is required.
• Comfort working in a hybrid setup in Kuching, with reliable internet access for remote tasks when needed.
• Diploma or degree in Multimedia, Film, Design, or a related field is advantageous, but equivalent practical experience is also valued.
