Harbour-Link Group Berhad Hiring! Full Time Shipping Operation Assistant in Sarawak - Ricebowl

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist Shipping Operation Manager with overall planning & overseeing of shipping agencies operation.

2. Assist Shipping Operation Manager in customer service activities, as well as building up an excellent relationship with the consignees, shippers, ship masters, related government agencies, port operator, and principals.

3. Responsible for providing necessary information to Personnel at Port Operation (POT), Documentation & Co-ordination (DCT), Shipping Liaison (SLT), Cargo Receiving (CRT) to ensure that all operations are carried out smoothly.

4. Assist Shipping Operation Manager in monitoring of vessels schedule, cargo documents, cargo trucking advice, checking of cargo readiness, release of documents.

5. Assist Shipping Operation Manager in status reporting of vessel operation to owners and any relevant activities or occurrence to vessels.

6. Assist for reporting of cargo damage to shippers & clients.

7. Monitor the security, safety & working environment complying to the group HSE requirements. Prepare monthly HSE report for the Operation Team (POT).

8. Any other assignment as directed by the Shipping Operation Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of working experience in shipping operations, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field.
• Good in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; the ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
