Job Title: Civil Engineer – Facility Management & Maintenance

Location: KOMPLEKS KDN KUANTAN, PAHANG

Reports To: Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

The Civil Engineer in Facility Management & Maintenance is responsible for the upkeep, inspection, repair, and improvement of building structures and civil infrastructure within a facility. This role ensures the structural integrity, safety, and functionality of buildings, roads, drainage systems, and other civil assets, in compliance with building codes and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, structures, and infrastructure to identify damage, wear, or safety hazards.
• Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance for civil components, including concrete works, masonry, waterproofing, flooring, roofing, and drainage systems.
• Supervise and coordinate civil maintenance activities carried out by in-house teams or external contractors.
• Develop maintenance schedules and checklists for civil assets based on condition assessments and lifecycle planning.
• Review and interpret civil drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Support renovation, remodeling, and expansion projects from a civil engineering standpoint.
• Maintain records of inspections, work orders, material usage, and cost reports.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.) to ensure integrated facility operations.
• Recommend and implement cost-effective and durable repair solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil maintenance or facility management.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, structural systems, materials, and finishes.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Good understanding of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Licensed Civil Engineer or equivalent certification.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or civil engineering software.
• Knowledge of waterproofing systems, concrete restoration, and façade maintenance.

WORKING HOURS

MONDAY - FRIDAY (7.30am-5.30pm/8.00am-6.00pm)
