Purevia Instruments Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Pre-Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer to join with our principal, Lihe Technology (Hunan) Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of automated monitoring instruments headquartered in Changsha, China. This is a full-time position based in Seri Kembangan, that plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technical capabilities and our clients' needs. As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in translating complex technical solutions into compelling business value propositions, supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to contract closure. You will be responsible for ensuring that prospective clients fully understand our monitoring equipment and technical service offerings and how they can solve their specific challenges.

What you'll be doing

• Provide pre-sales technical support by understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable laboratory instrumentation and technical solutions.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical consultations for customers.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender documentation in collaboration with the sales team.
• Perform site surveys and assess customer facilities to ensure proper equipment selection and installation planning.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the sales process.
• Provide technical clarification and respond to customer inquiries before and during project implementation.
• Support product marketing activities, including exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and technical training sessions.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
• Assist in achieving sales targets by providing effective technical and application support.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project progress, and technical documentation.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, or other related scientific or technical disciplines.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in laboratory instrumentation, analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, technical sales, product marketing, or related fields are highly preferred (Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply).
• High proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel and conduct on-site customer visits and site surveys when required
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
