1. Provision of Care

To provide safe and effective provision of quality care to all patients and families through: -

· Perform patient assessment and reassessment to establish comprehensive information base on patient physiological, emotional, cultural, psychological and spiritual needs.

· Demonstrate safe administration of medication, calculation of doses and pharmacological knowledge/interventions including intravenous vasoactive therapy etc.

· Carry out individualized plans of care and evaluate care plan to ensure safe and quality of care being delivered.

· Competence in operating the biomedical equipment

· Assist Physicians/Oncologist in performing special procedures

· Maintain accurate, concise and timely clinical documentation.

· Performs effective clinical handover.

· Promotes care and uphold patient and family right in relation to safety, privacy and confidentiality.

· Adhere and practice within the accreditation standards and Professional Code of Conduct.

2. Quality Improvement and Risk Management

To undertake initiate quality improvement activities, minimize eliminate risks and report all incidents by: -

· Identifying situations of clinical risks and take appropriate actions to ensure a safe environment.

· Reporting emerging risks/near miss, incidents, accidents, injuries, work related illness and other emergency codes.

· Participating in continuous risk assessment and implement immediate appropriate corrective action.

3. Resource Management

To achieve effective use of resources through: -

· Using the appropriate consumable to prevent wastage & perform accurate patient charges.

· Effectively managing stock as per departmental requirements, ie. Compliance to par level, check expiry dates, etc.

· Performing assignment within expected time frame.

· Effectively monitoring expenditure and resources to deliver cost effective care.

· Ensuring adequate consumables par level to maintain departmental activities.

· Checking all medical equipment/devices prior to use are functioning and valid planned preventive maintenance are in place.

4. Professional Development

Assumes own responsibility of education and professional development through: -

· Completing unit/department’s required core competencies/matrix within 6 months.

· Attending educational activities (internal and external) to achieve required CPD points

· Completing performance appraisal within the stipulated time

· Serving as preceptor/mentor for new employees.

Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
