Job Summary
The Supervisor Mechanic oversees the maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery, and equipment. This role supervises a team of mechanics, ensures work is completed safely and efficiently, maintains high-quality repair standards, and minimizes equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of mechanics and technicians.
• Assign repair and maintenance tasks based on priorities and workload.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnose complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Schedule preventive maintenance for vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and workshop facilities are properly maintained.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and coordinate procurement when needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and service reports.
• Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate mechanic performance.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
• Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Valid driver's license (preferred or required, depending on the role).
