About the Role
The Growth Director leads new business growth and builds strategic client partnerships at executive level. This role combines commercial rigor with client-facing leadership — driving the agency's expansion across creative, social, media, and AI-powered services. We're looking for someone who wins business and can defend the commercial logic behind every deal they bring in: clear rationale, disciplined execution, and reliable delivery against KPIs, not just strong pitching.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across creative, social, media, and AI-driven solutions — with a clear, defensible rationale for every engagement pursued.
• Build and execute growth strategies that grow the agency's client portfolio and revenue, with accountability for pipeline accuracy and forecast reliability.
• Lead cross-functional pitch teams to develop proposals grounded in client need and commercial logic, not just persuasive delivery.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, backed by a clear case for value delivered and return.

Client Leadership

• Act as senior point of contact, providing strategic counsel and ensuring delivery standards are met.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Partner with internal teams to build integrated strategies aligned to client objectives — and to actual delivery capacity.

Strategic & Commercial Planning

• Identify market trends and translate them into commercial opportunities with quantified rationale (cost, margin, ROI).
• Own pipeline and revenue reporting to leadership with financial accuracy — including cost, margin, and forecast integrity.
• Align business development activity with profitability targets, not just topline growth.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Coordinate across creative, media, social, and AI divisions for integrated delivery.
• Mentor junior BD talent, with a focus on commercial judgment and client stewardship — not just pitching skills.
• Build a culture where deliverables are tracked and owned, not just discussed.

Innovation & AI Solutions

• Represent the agency's AI-powered offering to clients with a clear, honest account of what it does and what it's for.

Requirements

• Proven track record of winning new business and being able to walk through the commercial and financial logic behind each deal won.
• 15+ years in client management, business development, or sales strategy.
• Demonstrated financial fluency: comfortable owning pipeline forecasts, deal margins, and cost accuracy without oversight.
• Strong network and ability to build senior client relationships.
• Track record of meeting delivery commitments and reporting deadlines — references will be checked on this specifically.
• Commercially minded with strong quantitative accuracy — not just financial "awareness."
• Proven experience directing high-performing teams through complex, integrated initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or similar; MBA a plus.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated through specific past examples, not self-description.

Pay: Up to RM18,000.00 per month
