Position Summary

The Process Safety Management Engineer will support the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Process Safety Management system across its oil and gas operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide process safety support to operations, maintenance, shutdown and project activities.
• Support the implementation and improvement of the Process Safety Management system.
• Participate in process safety reviews, risk assessments and Management of Change activities.
• Support process safety incident investigations, audits and assurance activities.
• Review relevant technical documents and support the close-out of process safety findings and actions.
• Work with operations, engineering, maintenance, HSE and project teams on process safety matters.
• Prepare process safety reports, records and presentations as required.
• The responsibilities listed above are intended to provide a general overview of the role and are not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time to meet business and operational requirements.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum Eight (8) years of relevant Process Safety Management experience within the oil and gas or related process industry.
• Good understanding of Process Safety Management principles and practices.
• Strong analytical, communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate their actual responsibilities and deliverables in previous Process Safety Management roles.
• Primary work location will be Sabah, with the ability to travel for job-related assignments within East and West Malaysia.
