About the Role:

This role responsible for inspecting I&C installation works, witnessing testing activities, reviewing quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and quality requirements. The role will also provide technical support to project teams and facilitate the resolution of quality-related issues during construction and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform quality inspections on instrumentation and control materials, equipment, installations, and construction activities.
2. Witness inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and specifications.
3. Review engineering drawings, method statements, HIRARCs, and other construction documentation to support quality compliance.
4. Assist with the review of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, quality reports, and related documentation.
5. Attend quality, technical, and construction coordination meetings.
6. Identify non-conformances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
7. Provide technical advice and recommendations regarding: Design changes, Construction deviations, Quality issues, Work sequencing, and Installation methodologies.
8. Monitor contractor compliance with project quality requirements and industry standards.
9. Support commissioning readiness activities and ensure quality requirements are met before handover.
10. Promote adherence to project quality management systems, procedures, and best practices.
11. Ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and site quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications related to Quality Inspection, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Systems are advantageous.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 10 years of experience within power generation, energy, EPC, or Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong experience in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Experience working on Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) or Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects is highly preferred.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, quality dossiers, commissioning documentation, and test records.
• Sarawakian candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, with preference given to those familiar with local site conditions, stakeholders, and project execution environments.
