NS BlueScope Hiring! Full Time Civil Engineering Intern in Sabah - Ricebowl

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will be part of the team supporting the operation, maintenance, and improvement of site facilities and utilities systems. This role provides hands-on exposure to facility management, engineering maintenance practices, and technical project execution in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with daily facility operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of utility systems

• Support preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, site inspections, and maintenance reporting

• Assist with improvement projects, including energy-saving initiatives, equipment upgrades, and reliability enhancements

• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and support implementation of corrective actions for equipment failures

• Support contractors during maintenance and project activities while ensuring safety and site compliance

• Maintain and update engineering records, SOPs, technical documentation, and AutoCAD drawings

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with CGPA of 3.0 and above.

• Basic understanding of engineering principles related to facility systems (mechanical or electrical).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD is required.

• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.

• Able to work in a team and follow safety procedures strictly.

• Preferably that able to start immediately in July/August.
