Role Summary
The IT Assistant is responsible for supporting the company's IT infrastructure, ERP system, business software, and hardware to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The role also plays a key part in ERP administration, user training, and implementation of new digital systems across the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. ERP System Administration
- Learn, maintain and support all ERP modules used by the company.
- Liaise with the ERP vendor on system updates, bug fixes, enhancements and user support.
- Configure and maintain ERP master data (users, permissions, item codes, BOMs, etc.) as assigned.
- Troubleshoot ERP issues and coordinate with the vendor until resolution.
- Test new ERP functions before deployment.
- Prepare ERP user guides and SOPs.
2. ERP Training & User Support
- Conduct ERP orientation and training for new employees.
- Provide first-level ERP support to all departments.
- Assist departments in improving ERP usage and workflow efficiency.
- Document common issues and maintain a knowledge base.
3. IT Hardware & Software Support
- Install, configure and maintain: Desktop computers, Laptops, Printers, Barcode scanners, Label printers, Mobile devices, Network equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain company software licenses and updates.
- Ensure antivirus and security software are up to date.
4. Business System Implementation
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of: Point of Sale (POS) system, ERP modules, Google Workspace, NAS storage, Attendance system, Access card system
- Participate in testing and deployment of new business systems.
5. Server & Network Support
- Perform basic maintenance of: Company server, NAS storage, Wi-Fi network, Internet connectivity, Shared folders and permissions
- Escalate complex technical issues to vendors when necessary.
6. IT Asset Management
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT equipment.
- Record issuance and return of IT assets.
- Coordinate repair, warranty claims and replacement of equipment.
- Ensure proper asset tagging and documentation.
7. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain IT documentation, including: SOPs, User manuals, System configurations, Password records (secured), Asset registers
- Support internal and external audits related to IT systems.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and digitalization.
- Recommend new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with vendors on system enhancements.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in IT support or ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is highly preferred, as this role will take over ERP-related responsibilities previously handled internally.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
