Job Title : Costing Officer

Job Summary

The Costing Officer is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate product costing to support pricing, profitability analysis, and cost control. The role works closely with the Marketing, Purchasing, Production, Material Control and Finance Departments to ensure accurate and timely costing information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate product costing based on material, labour, overhead and manufacturing costs.
• Review and update standard costs when there are changes in cost components.
• Support the Marketing Department with product costing and customer quotations.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Material Control and Production to verify costing information and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Analyze cost variances and recommend cost-saving improvements.
• Maintain accurate costing records and prepare costing and profitability reports.
• Ensure compliance with company costing procedures and internal controls.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management or the immediate superior.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of costing or manufacturing cost analysis experience.
• Knowledge of product costing, BOM, manufacturing processes, and inventory control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Candidates able to commence work on short notice will have an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
