About the Role
We're looking for a commercially minded, highly analytical Assistant Manager, Finance to join our team in Sepang. This is more than a traditional accounting role. The successful candidate will support financial management while working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, senior leadership, and operational teams on company-wide strategic projects, business transformation initiatives, tender submissions, and organisational improvement.
The role is well-suited to a finance professional who enjoys combining financial analysis with business strategy, operational problem-solving, and management-level decision support.
Key Responsibilities
Finance and Financial Management
- Develop financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, management accounts, analyses, and performance updates.
- Analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management.
- Manage and monitor cash flow to support the Group’s operational and financial requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and financial regulations.
- Assist with internal audit activities and the implementation of appropriate financial controls.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities to improve financial and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain company-wide accounting systems, financial policies, procedures, controls, and performance-tracking systems.
Strategy, Transformation and Management Support
- Prepare consulting-standard management decks, business proposals, reports, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the CEO and senior management in monitoring strategic projects and planning and executing business transformation initiatives.
- Assist management in reviewing the organisation’s structure, business processes, assets, and workforce, and recommend opportunities for optimisation.
- Gather and analyse financial, human resources, and operational data to support management decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, human resources, and other departments to improve organisational effectiveness.
Tenders and Business Proposals
- Coordinate/support and prepare complete submission documents for open tenders, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals, financial models, costing analyses, management presentations, and other supporting documents.
- Ensure that tender and proposal submissions are accurate, professionally presented, and completed within the required deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- At least three years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory finance position will be an advantage.
- Strong experience in preparing and managing a full set of accounts, financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Sound knowledge of international accounting standards, MFRS/IFRS requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare professional management reports, financial models, and presentation decks.
- Experience with relevant tools and systems such as Canva, SQL, Xero, SAP, QuickBooks, or other financial software will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to senior management and collaborate across departments.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in consulting, process improvement, business transformation, or organisational development will be an advantage.

Remuneration and Performance Incentive
- Basic salary: RM6,000+ per month
- Attractive performance-based bonus equivalent to 3%–5% of verified cost savings successfully delivered, subject to agreed targets and company policy
- Overall remuneration and responsibilities may be reviewed based on the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and suitability for the role
