Role Description This full-time, on-site Sales Manager role is based in Kuching and focuses on leading sales activities within the local market. The Sales Manager will oversee a sales team, set targets, and monitor performance to drive revenue growth and market share. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with customers and key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, operations, and regional leadership to ensure alignment with Hilti Asia Pacific’s objectives. The Sales Manager will also coach and develop team members, use data to guide decisions, and ensure adherence to company standards and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management or key account management, preferably in construction, industrial, or related sectors.
- Strong skills in customer relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, analyze market trends, and use data-driven insights to improve performance.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team coaching, performance management, and talent development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working with CRM tools, sales reporting systems, and standard office software.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed and to work on-site with customers and team members.
- High level of integrity, results orientation, and commitment to safety and quality.
