Mechanical Designer (Automation System)

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: RM3,000 – RM3,999 per month

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing automation machinery and mechanical systems, supporting project execution, and ensuring timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design automation machines, fixtures, and mechanical components based on customer requirements using Autodesk Inventor.

• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly documentation.

• Coordinate with the in-house production team, machine vendors, and component suppliers to ensure project progress.

• Execute assigned engineering tasks within the agreed project timeline.

• Monitor project schedules, coordinate activities, and resolve technical issues when necessary.

• Review design specifications, project plans, and schedule changes, and recommend appropriate actions.

• Support machine assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer technical support.

• Prepare machine operation manuals and technical documentation.

• Report project progress regularly to the Engineering Solutions (ES) Head.

• Attend meetings and communicate with customers whenever required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is required.

• Knowledge of automation systems, machine design, and manufacturing processes is an advantage.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Willing to travel for project support or customer visits when required
