Role Description The Exploration Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sungai Koyan, responsible for meeting corporate objectives to identify, discover, and expand mineral resources in Malaysia, while ensuring that logistics, environmental, and safety controls are in place to support exploration activities. The Exploration Manager will be responsible for overseeing all in-mine, near mine and regional gold exploration activities in Malaysia. The main aim will be to expand the gold resources and extend the mine life at Selinsing as well as targeting and evaluating regional gold prospects for future development

The key functions of this position include;

1. Assist in planning, strategizing and budgeting exploration programs; upon approval of such programs, prioritize geological and geophysical activities to achieve the best performance for each exploration program; improve search and target strategies to maximize opportunities for the discovery of new mineral resources.

2.  Implement and supervise approved exploration programs at the sites;

• Supervise drill hole programs (diamond and RC) including drill road and pad construction; modify the drill programs as they  progress depending on results and site logistics; maximize exploration performance by directing daily drilling progress and monitoring drilling quality and costs as compared to the budget; efficiently allocate and manage resources including the in-house exploration team and outsourced contractors at the project site(s);
• Design standard operation procedures (SOP) as required and  implement such SOP once approved; assist VP Exploration and CFO in designing and implementing internal controls over operations:
• Maximize utilization of equipment, ensuring the drill equipment maintenance program is properly designed, budgeted and scheduled to minimize the down time;
• Supervise the survey, collection and analysis of geological and geotechnical information at site and forward to appropriate personnel;
• Manage junior geologists to ensure that the geological logging, geotechnical logging, sampling and QA/QC protocols, assay lab submittal forms, sample shipments are correctly completed, and all geological work at site honours NI ************* or JORC guidelines whichever applicable;
• Proficiently use Surpac, Gemcom, and/or Vulcan to manage and modify drilling from the site,   maintain and update the drill hole database for all exploration programs; assist designated IT personnel in maintaining exploration software to support the operation and ensure all exploration data are safely guarded;
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly, quarterly and annual communications and updates (written and oral) with corporate management including the VP Exploration; and promptly report results and findings should they require an immediate attention;
• Review financial reports provided by accounting department regarding exploration, provide performance and cost analysis over the exploration programs in connection with financial results with assistance of the senior financial analyst.
• Participate and help support the regional exploration effort, feasibility study, and certain aspects of the NI ************* report;
• Conduct any additional geological tasks as requested by Corporate Management;
