Job Title: Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our marine construction team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out surveying works to support a marine construction project near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, ensuring accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and timely delivery of survey data.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out land and engineering surveys for marine construction and civil engineering projects.
• Perform setting out, alignment, level checks, control surveys, and as-built surveys.
• Establish and maintain survey control points throughout the project.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and other survey instruments.
• Prepare survey reports, drawings, coordinates, and related documentation.
• Verify survey data and ensure accuracy throughout the construction process.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, and construction teams to support project execution.
• Monitor construction progress and provide survey support during all stages of the project.
• Ensure all surveying activities comply with project specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Maintain proper calibration, maintenance, and care of survey equipment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience as a Surveyor in construction projects.
• Experience in marine construction or infrastructure projects, such as ports, jetties, wharves, bridges, reclamation, coastal protection works, or similar civil engineering projects, is highly preferred.
• Proficient in using Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and surveying software.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and construction plans.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and under site conditions to meet project deadlines.
• Willing to be based at the project site near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
