Job Overview:

As an Electrician at JYC Battery Sdn. Bhd., you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the battery manufacturing facility. This role ensures production machines operate safely and efficiently in compliance with Malaysian regulations and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in manufacturing equipment, control panels, and automation systems.
• Diagnose breakdowns and carry out immediate repair to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, motors, relays, sensors, and control components.

2. Installation & Improvement Works

• Install new electrical systems, panels, machines, and equipment.
• Modify wiring and control systems for process improvement.
• Support equipment upgrading and automation projects.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) requirements.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Electrical Regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspection of electrical systems to prevent hazards.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities.
• Comply with ISO standards, 5S practices, and company procedures.

4. Support Production

• Provide technical support during production line breakdowns.
• Standby during shift operation when required.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Valid Chargeman Certificate (AO/A1/A4) registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (preferred).
• Wireman license (PW4) is an advantage.
• CIDB Green Card (if applicable).
• Minimum 2–3 years working experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience in battery manufacturing or heavy industrial environment is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work under pressure and during breakdown situations.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and on-call when required.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Factory environment (exposure to noise, dust and heat).
• Required to work rotating shifts if applicable.
• May require standby duty and overtime during breakdown or peak period.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
