JOB OVERVIEW
Lead the maintenance department in planning, scheduling, and executing mechanical, electrical, and structural repairs across the site and its fleet to prevent operational downtime.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Assign, supervise, and review the daily repair and maintenance duties of technicians and assistant maintainers.
- Preventative Programs: Design and execute scheduled preventative maintenance plans for vehicles, heavy machinery, and plant assets.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical failures, hydraulic faults, and electrical system failures.
- Inventory Control: Manage the spare parts warehouse, verify stock levels, and source cost-effective components.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external specialized contractors for complex overhauls and equipment calibrations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical vocational certificate.
- Experience: 5+ years of maintenance experience in heavy industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Advanced reading of hydraulic/electrical schematics, welding, and engine overhaul knowledge.
- Attributes: Strong leadership qualities, analytical mindset, and excellent time management skills.
