Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of factory HVAC systems. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of HVAC systems that support production, office, and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including split units, centralized systems, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and repair cooling, refrigerant leakage, compressor, mechanical, and electrical faults.
• Ensure optimal HVAC system performance to maintain required temperature, humidity, and indoor air quality.
• Conduct routine servicing of HVAC components, including filters, coils, fans, motors, compressors, pumps, and control systems.
• Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak testing in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
• Assist with the installation, upgrading, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major maintenance and repair works.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and statutory regulations.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support standby, shift work, and overtime when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Valid CIDB Green Card is required.
• 2–5 years of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in factory, industrial, office tower, or commercial building environments.
• Good knowledge of HVAC electrical and control systems.
• Familiar with refrigerants and safe handling procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical faults.
• Able to read HVAC drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and standby duties when required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Experience with industrial chillers, centralized HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, and chilled water systems.
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency practices and preventive maintenance programs.
• Safety Leader certification and/or Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) certification will be an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and perform manual handling tasks.
• Committed to complying with PPE requirements and workplace safety standards.
