Job Purpose
To ensure proper management, storage, handling, documentation, and disposal of scheduled waste in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974, Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all scheduled waste management activities within the company.
- Ensure scheduled waste is properly identified, labeled, stored and segregated according to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of scheduled waste inventory, generation, storage, and disposal.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to relevant authorities and licensed waste contractors.
- Liaise with licensed scheduled waste collectors, transporters, and disposal facilities for waste collection and disposal arrangements.
- Conduct routine inspections of scheduled waste storage areas to ensure compliance and housekeeping standards.
- Monitor storage capacity and ensure scheduled waste is disposed of within the permitted storage period and quantity limits.
- Ensure all consignment notes, manifests, and disposal certificates are properly maintained and filed.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Conduct awareness training and briefing sessions for employees on scheduled waste handling procedures.
- Investigate environmental incidents related to scheduled waste and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005 and DOE requirements.
- Familiarity with Electronic Scheduled Waste Information System (eSWIS) is an added advantage.
- Good documentation, record-keeping, and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently and liaise with regulatory authorities and external contractors.
- Knowledge of Mandarin will be an added advantage
- Able to start work immediately will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
