We are partnering with a leading Malaysian manufacturer specializing in polymer-based products and infrastructure solutions, serving the construction, utilities, and industrial sectors. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking for a Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations, optimize production performance, and drive operational excellence across the plant.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage production schedules to ensure customer requirements and business targets are achieved.
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including rotational molding, extrusion, compounding, pulverizing, and related production processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Work closely with Procurement, Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure timely material availability and on-time product delivery.
• Monitor production performance, product quality, waste control, safety, and housekeeping while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operators, including manpower planning, training, and performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, improve process efficiency, and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Manage production budgets, monitor operational performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Review production data and prepare regular reports on output, efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and workplace safety.
• Experience in manufacturing products requiring regulatory or product certification is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with production machinery, equipment maintenance, or installation is an added advantage.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Familiar with production management systems and reporting tools.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
