My client is a well-established manufacturing organisation serving regional and international markets. With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, they are looking for an Automation Manager to join their team in Negeri Sembilan to lead the optimisation and reliability of automated manufacturing systems across the production facility. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to improve equipment performance, product quality, and operational efficiency. The role requires a hands-on leader capable of troubleshooting complex automation challenges while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Your new role

• Lead the maintenance, optimisation, and troubleshooting of automated production equipment
  
• Drive automation improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
  
• Analyse equipment performance and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime
  
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on process improvements and new initiatives
  
• Develop preventive maintenance and reliability strategies for automation systems
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Automation, or related Engineering discipline
  
• Proven experience managing automation systems within a manufacturing environment
  
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving PLCs, sensors, robotics, vision systems, or automated machinery
  
• Experience leading technical teams and driving continuous improvement projects
  
• Knowledge of equipment reliability, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance practices
