Position: Operation Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee daily operational activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead and supervise site operations, maintenance activities, and project teams.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare operational reports, project progress updates, and performance analyses for management.
• Manage manpower planning, work scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support tender preparation, budgeting, cost control, and project planning.
• Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
• Mentor and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering, managing discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations management, project management, or engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing mechanical equipment, maintenance operations, or industrial projects.
• Good knowledge of budgeting, cost control, planning, and resource management.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Willing to travel and visit project sites when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and other construction machines.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Understanding of ISO standards, workplace safety regulations, and quality management systems.
