Job Description

Responsibilities

Tanjung Renal Care is seeking a dedicated, proactive and experienced Dialysis Centre Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our dialysis centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth centre operations, regulatory compliance, quality patient care, staff coordination, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Centre Operations & Administration

  • Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the dialysis centre.
  • Ensure all administrative functions are carried out efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate daily activities between the management team, renal nurses, administrative staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing and record management in accordance with CKAPS, MOH and company requirements.
  • Monitor inventory, medical consumables and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.

2. Claims & Subsidy Management

  • Oversee the preparation, submission and follow-up of all patient claims to the relevant government agencies and subsidy bodies,
  • Ensure claims are submitted accurately and within stipulated timelines.
  • Monitor claim status and follow up on outstanding payments and approvals.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to resolve claim discrepancies promptly.

3. Nursing Team Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate the duties, work schedules and daily operations of all renal nurses.
  • Ensure compliance with dialysis treatment protocols, infection control procedures and nursing standards.
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance and continuous professional development.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain effective communication among all staff.
  • Ensure adequate manpower planning and staff coverage at all times.

4. CKAPS & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with CKAPS licensing requirements, Ministry of Health regulations and applicable healthcare standards.
  • Oversee all RO (Reverse Osmosis) water system testing and ensure all microbiological and chemical water tests are carried out according to the required schedule.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and servicing of dialysis machines and medical equipment.
  • Prepare the centre for audits, inspections and licence renewals.
  • Ensure all required documentation is updated and audit-ready at all times.

5. Patient Growth & Business Development

  • Drive patient recruitment and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the dialysis centre.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, nephrologists, healthcare providers and referral partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient services and satisfaction.
  • Support marketing and community outreach initiatives to increase awareness of the centre’s services.

6. Patient Records & Data Protection

  • Ensure all patient information is handled confidentially in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
  • Ensure all Patient Data Protection Consent Forms and relevant consent documents are properly obtained, updated and securely maintained.
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of patient records.

7. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
  • Investigate incidents, patient complaints and non-conformities, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular operational reviews and submit reports to management.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and conducive environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a dialysis centre, hospital or healthcare facility is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CKAPS licensing requirements and healthcare regulatory standards will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing government subsidy claims and healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems.
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
