Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Thai Cook role based in West Malaysia. The Thai Cook will prepare, cook, and present a variety of Thai dishes for offshore and onshore catering operations, ensuring consistency in taste, portion, and presentation. Daily tasks include planning menus, organizing ingredients, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and adhering to HACCP and company safety standards. The role involves coordinating with kitchen and service teams, managing food storage and inventory, and adjusting menus to meet dietary requirements and client preferences. The Thai Cook will also assist in minimizing food waste, ensuring efficient use of resources, and supporting smooth meal service operations.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in preparing and cooking a wide range of authentic Thai dishes, including main courses, sides, and desserts.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and HACCP standards, especially in high-volume or industrial catering environments.
  • Experience working in commercial or industrial kitchens, preferably in offshore or onshore catering settings. (Min. 8 years)
  • Ability to plan menus, manage ingredient inventory, and maintain proper food storage and rotation.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work shifts, and handle demanding kitchen tasks safely.
  • Basic proficiency in English for following instructions, safety guidelines, and communication with colleagues; additional local language skills are an advantage.
  • Relevant culinary training or certification is preferred; prior experience as a Thai Cook or in Asian cuisine is highly beneficial.
