Key Responsibilities1. Banquet Operations
- Plan, organize, and oversee all banquet and catering events.
- Ensure banquet functions are executed according to customer requirements.
- Supervise event setup, service, and breakdown.
- Conduct pre-event briefings with banquet staff.
- Ensure smooth operation throughout the event.
- Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction.
2. Event Planning & Coordination
- Meet with clients to understand event requirements.
- Coordinate menus with the Executive Chef and Kitchen Department.
- Prepare banquet event orders (BEOs) and function sheets.
- Coordinate with all departments including:
- Kitchen
- Purchasing
- Housekeeping
- Maintenance
- Accounts
- Sales & Marketing
- Ensure all event requirements are communicated accurately.
3. Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate banquet employees.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manpower planning.
- Assign duties during events.
- Monitor staff attendance and punctuality.
- Coach employees on customer service standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations.
4. Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly.
- Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the event.
- Follow up with customers after events for feedback.
5. Sales & Revenue
- Assist in promoting banquet and catering packages.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to achieve revenue targets.
- Upsell food, beverages, decorations, and additional services.
- Monitor banquet profitability.
6. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor banquet equipment and supplies.
- Ensure proper usage of company assets.
- Control operating costs.
- Reduce wastage of food, beverages, and materials.
- Maintain inventory records.
7. Food Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with:
- Company SOPs
- HACCP requirements
- Halal requirements (where applicable)
- Food hygiene regulations
- Occupational Safety & Health standards
- Ensure cleanliness of banquet halls and equipment.
- Conduct hygiene inspections regularly.
8. Administration
- Prepare banquet reports.
- Maintain event records.
- Monitor banquet bookings.
- Prepare monthly performance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for every event.
9. Health & Safety
- Ensure safe working practices.
- Report accidents immediately.
- Ensure emergency procedures are followed.
- Conduct safety briefings before major events.
Job Requirements Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
- Hospitality Management
- Hotel Management
- Food & Beverage Management
- Event Management
- Business Administration
- Or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in banquet, catering, hotel, or restaurant operations.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.

Working Conditions
The Banquet Manager shall:
- Work according to operational requirements.
- Be required to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when necessary.
- Attend company meetings, training, and special events.
- Travel between company branches or event venues if required.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
