About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our engineering team to develop, design, and maintain our HRMS platform. A key focus of this role is building out our new Payroll module from the ground up. You will be involved across the entire software development lifecycle — from requirement study and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features across our HRMS system, with a primary focus on building the new Payroll module.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirement gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Build responsive web and mobile interfaces using React JS and React Native.
- Develop robust backend services and APIs using .NET Core.
- Design and optimize database structures, queries, and stored procedures on Azure SQL.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, and fellow developers within an Agile delivery framework.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure system stability and performance.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proficient in React JS and React Native.
- Strong backend development experience with .NET Core.
- Solid experience with Azure SQL (database design, stored procedures, query optimization).
- Working experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (deployment, hosting, monitoring).
- Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with HRMS and Payroll systems.
- Familiarity with Malaysian statutory payroll requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRD Corp).
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices on Azure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
