About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Massage Therapist to join the Le Chateau team in Kota Kinabalu District, Sabah. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of delivering exceptional wellness and relaxation experiences to our valued clients. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Le Chateau's reputation for excellence in the hair and beauty services industry, ensuring every client leaves feeling rejuvenated and cared for.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing a range of professional massage treatments including Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy and relaxation massages to clients

2. Assessing client needs and preferences to tailor treatments and create personalised wellness experiences

3. Maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming treatment environment that complies with health and safety standards

4. Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and loyalty

5. Consulting with clients about their health, physical conditions and treatment goals to ensure appropriate care

6. Keeping detailed records of client treatments, preferences and progress

7. Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues across the beauty and wellness services

8. Promoting Le Chateau's services and treatments to clients and helping to achieve business targets

9. Staying current with industry trends and best practices in massage therapy techniques

10. Helping the manager and team members with any tasks to start and end the daily operations, housekeeping, laundry, admin, sales & marketing, expo participation and attendance and customer service related functions.

What we're looking for

1. A recognised qualification or certification in massage therapy from an accredited institution

2. Proven experience as a massage therapist, preferably in a salon, spa or wellness facility environment

3. Proficiency in various massage techniques and a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to listen to client needs and provide recommendations

5. A calm, professional demeanour and genuine passion for helping clients feel relaxed and rejuvenated

6. Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage client appointments efficiently

7. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, professionalism and client confidentiality

8. The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required by the business

9. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to massage therapy and spa treatments

10. Preferred: Experience in a similar beauty or wellness services setting and familiarity with salon management systems
