Role Overview
As the Lead, Events at SOCOE, you will be the primary architect of high-impact brand experiences that bridge the gap between complex digital infrastructure and human-centric community engagement. You are responsible for the end-to-end strategy and execution of large-scale activations that showcase SOCOE's "humanising technology" mission across Sarawak's mission critical projects.
This role directly contributes to the company's growth by building long-term capability and strengthening our presence within the Media, Entertainment and Technology Consulting sectors. Working at the intersection of Creative & Marketing and Operations, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver award-winning standards in one of the region's fastest-growing organisations. Key Responsibilities
1. Immersive Experience Design
Conceptualise and lead the production of interactive platforms and events that showcase SOCOE's capabilities in Media, Entertainment and System Development.
2. Strategic Project Integration
Work closely with Technology & Consulting teams to align events with the rollout of infrastructure and digital government initiatives across the table.
3. End-to-End Event Management
Direct all phases of event operations, from technical system integration and vendor procurement to on-site logistics crisis management.
4. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
Serve as a key liaison between SOCOE and its diverse stakeholders, ensuring that activations effectively communicate our vision to the Sarawakian community and beyond.
5. Innovation & Data Tracking
Utilise data insights to measure event success, ensuring that every activaiton contributes to SOCOE's goals of scalability and sustainable growth.
Requirements/Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in professional event management, with a proven track record of handling high-stakes corporate or state-level projects.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Event Management, Mass Communications, or a related field; a background in Tech-Marketing is a plus
Recommended Technical Skills
Proficiency in event tech platforms, project management software and a basic understanding of AI/Digital integration
Recommended Soft Skills
Exceptional leaders, strategic thinking and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, “fast-growing” environment
Licenses/Credentials
Professional certifications such as CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are preferred
