Business Development Manager – Medical Services
Location: Sarawak

Reporting to: Business Development Director – Malaysia
International SOS is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to grow our Medical Services portfolio across Sarawak and Sabah.
This is an exciting opportunity for a business development professional who understands the Sarawak and Sabah market, enjoys building strong client relationships, and is passionate about delivering meaningful medical solutions to organisations operating in complex and remote environments.
The successful candidate will report to the Business Development Director – Malaysia and will be responsible for achieving new business and account extension targets within the assigned sector. This role will focus on developing relationships with key government bodies, state entities, GLCs, and private sector clients, while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
The candidate will also support the Business Development Director in managing key clients in Peninsular Malaysia as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth in Medical Services across Sarawak and Sabah.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within government sectors, state-linked companies, GLCs, and private industries.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in Sarawak state government, agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing medical solutions tailored to their operational needs, including medical staffing, on-site clinics, occupational health programmes, remote site support, and other customised solutions based on client needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and tender submissions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations, Medical, Commercial, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure client satisfaction and seamless delivery.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and government policies to stay ahead of the market.
- Attend industry events, forums, and networking sessions to represent International SOS and expand business reach.
- Perform any specific tasks as and when required by the company.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales and Business Development, preferably within healthcare, oil & gas, or government sectors.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
- Existing network or strong working knowledge of the Sarawak and/or Sabah government ecosystem will be a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in any related field, with strong interest to learn new skills.
- Preference will be given to Sarawakian or Sarawak-based candidates, as the role is based in Miri Office and requires close engagement with East Malaysia stakeholders and support business development activities across East Malaysia.
