Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based at SENA SPECIALIST HOSPITAL SEGAMAT in Segamat. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Daily responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, documenting patient information accurately, and supporting physicians during procedures. The role also involves educating patients and families on health conditions and care plans, maintaining infection control and safety standards, and responding promptly to changes in patient status. The nurse will participate in shift handovers, case discussions, and quality improvement activities to ensure consistent, safe, and effective care.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current registration with the relevant nursing council or regulatory body.
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; additional specialty certifications (e.g., medical-surgical, critical care) are an advantage.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and basic life support; Advanced Life Support certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to work in rotating shifts, manage multiple patients, and maintain accurate documentation under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Experience in a hospital or specialist care setting is preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training may also be considered.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and use of electronic medical records; willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
