Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Halal Executive to oversee and manage our F&B culinary operations, ensuring compliance with HACCP and HFSMS standards. The ideal candidate will coach, train, and mentor team members to enhance their skills while working closely with Production, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams to maintain consistent food safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the HACCP & HFSMS programs.
  • Conduct daily F&B audits, prepare action plans, and generate reports.
  • Train and mentor culinary and F&B team members on food safety standards.
  • Supervise daily operations, identify malpractices, and document them for corrective action.
  • Ensure proper hygiene and fire safety procedures are followed across all areas.
  • Oversee garbage room hygiene and approved waste classification practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with guests, suppliers, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Motivate the culinary team and build strong teamwork.
  • Assist the Finance team with monthly inventory management.
  • Schedule, conduct, and follow up on HACCP & HFSMS meetings.
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth implementation of food safety standards.
  • Monitor hygiene procedures, logbooks, hot/cold holding units, and food turnover processes.
  • Implement corrective actions when food does not meet HACCP standards.
  • Emphasize adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper date labelling.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments to ensure full operational compliance.
  • Drive the Continuous Improvement Programme to achieve and maintain HACCP accreditation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the food safety management system.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene or related F&B/culinary operations.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong team player with the ability to accomplish assignments efficiently.
  • Able to operate all cleaning equipment and ensure proper hygiene standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
