Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management and Selection:
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Support in negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with the Senior Procurement Officer to cultivate strong relationships with suppliers for mutual benefit.
Contract Support:
- Provide assistance in managing contracts with service contractors, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions.
- Assist in monitoring the performance of service contractors and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Learn contract negotiation skills from the Senior Procurement Officer.
Procurement Coordination:
- Work closely with department heads to understand their procurement needs and assist in aligning strategies accordingly.
- Support in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining product quality.
- Collaborate with the Senior Procurement Officer to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective cost control measures.
Inventory and Supplies Assistance:
- Aid in overseeing inventory levels for supplies and amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in coordinating with relevant departments to restock supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing excess inventory.
- Learn and implement inventory control procedures under the guidance of the Senior Procurement Officer.
Dry Store and Maintenance Store Oversight:
- Collaborate with the Senior Procurement Officer to manage and supervise the operations of the Dry Store and Maintenance Store.
- Assist in conducting regular audits and inspections to verify the accuracy of stock records and identify any discrepancies.
- Support in coordinating with relevant departments to restock supplies for both stores, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing excess inventory.
F&B Costing Assistance:
- Assist in preparing F&B costing based on recipes provided by the kitchen and F&B department.
Procurement System Management:
- Assist in updating and maintaining the procurement system to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of procurement activities.
- Learn to generate reports and analyze data from the procurement system to support decision-making.
Halal License Management:
- Support in updating and renewing the hotel's Halal license, ensuring compliance with all requirements and regulations.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities and certification bodies to facilitate the renewal process.
- Maintain accurate records of Halal certification and related documentation under the guidance of the Senior Procurement Officer.
Ad Hoc Procurement Projects:
- Assist in special procurement projects directed by management, learning from the expertise of the Senior Procurement Officer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business, or related field (or in progress).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow in the field of procurement.
Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
