Job Description – Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the company's overall finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Manage the company's budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for daily operations and business growth.
• Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, audit, and financial reporting standards.
• Review and approve payment transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Monitor operational costs and implement cost control initiatives to improve profitability.
• Support management in business planning, investment evaluation, and financial decision-making.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Oversee credit control, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions.
• Coordinate annual budget preparation and monitor budget performance against actual results.
• Ensure effective financial risk management and maintain strong internal controls.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), taxation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Experience in full set of accounts, cash flow management, audit, and financial planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
• Mandarin proficiency is preferred as the role requires frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
