1. Job Objective

• To operate, set up, and maintain injection moulding machines and moulds to ensure stable production, consistent product quality, and efficient manufacturing processes in compliance with company safety and quality standards.

2. Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor injection moulding machines according to approved process parameters.
• Perform mould changeovers, machine start-up, and shutdown activities.
• Adjust moulding parameters to achieve required product quality and cycle time.
• Inspect moulded parts and identify defects such as flash, short shot, sink marks, and warpage.
• Record production data, process parameters, and quality inspection results.
• Support troubleshooting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with mould installation, basic mould maintenance, and coordination with tooling teams.
• Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and 5S practices.

3. Authority Exercised

• Authority to stop machine or production line in case of quality or safety issues.
• Authority to adjust process parameters within approved limits.
• No purchasing or hiring authority.

4. Job ConditionsFactory/manufacturing environment.

• Standing for long hours during shift.
• Exposure to noise, heat, and machine operations.
• Shift work including night shift and overtime as required.
• Mandatory Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

5. Reports Produced

• Daily production report.
• Process parameter and Setup Report.

6. Critical Success Factors

• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and materials.
• Ability to troubleshoot moulding defects effectively.
• Good teamwork, communication, and discipline.

Job Specification

7. Minimum QualificationFormal Education:

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Polymer Engineering, or related field.
• Occupational Training:

a) Injection moulding process training.

b) Machine operation and basic troubleshooting training.

• Professional Accreditation: Not Required.

8. Experience Minimum

• 1-3 years working experience in injection moulding manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with thermoplastic materials (PP, ABS, PC, Nylon, POM, etc.).
• Experience operating machines such as Haitian, Nissei, Toshiba, Sumitomo, Engel, or Arburg is an advantage.

9. Additional Information Relevant To the Position

• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime.
• Physically fit and able to work in production environment.
• Good personal discipline and housekeeping practices.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
