Job Objective
- The objective of this role is to ensure process optimization to develop cost-effective, sustainable, and production-ready packaging solutions. The engineer is responsible for accurate and efficient Bill of Materials (BOM) management in the system, while enhancing product quality, sustaining production workflows, and supporting cross-functional teams to meet operational and customer requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Packaging Design & Planning: Design and prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for packaging and implement Packaging Specification Inspection Plans.
- System & Documentation Management: * Liaise with process owners to prepare data for the Product Information List (PIL).
i) Maintain and control SAP data, including MMRF, BOM, Routing, and Production Version.
ii) Prepare/implement production process work instructions and maintain departmental ISO documentation.
- Process Analysis & Quality: * Analyze and prepare risk assessments (FMEA) and Process Flows.
i) Prepare for Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP).
ii) Monitor and assist in New Project Introduction (NPI) activities.
- Operational Support: * Liaise with Purchasing and QA/QC to provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to production.
i) Coordinate with the Production team to monitor/control mould labelling and storage.
ii) Prepare and control the Mould Master list.
iii) Train supervisors, technicians, leaders, and operators on process implementation.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly KPIs for packaging improvement and cost-saving activities and maintain a safe, healthy work environment compliant with legal regulations.

- Working Instruction
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Process Flow
- MSDS standard

Job Conditions & Authority
- Work Environment: The role requires working in both a production floor environment and an air-conditioned office environment for documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma, Degree, or Master's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing or a related field.
- Critical Skills: * Basic understanding of injection moulding processes.
i) Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
ii) Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
iii) High commitment to work quality, accuracy, and meeting timelines.
- Additional Competencies: * Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
i) Excellence in Microsoft applications for reporting and documentation.
ii) Good documentation, reporting skills, discipline, and professional work ethics.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
