We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage the company's day-to-day accounting functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set or partial set of accounts, depending on assigned portfolio.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and management accounts.
- Issue invoices, official receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections when required.
- Process supplier payments and staff claims.
- Assist in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, government authorities, and other external parties.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist in year-end audit and other finance-related assignments.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and Malaysian statutory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in property management, construction, or SME accounting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, Kusimi or similar accounting systems is preferred.
