Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage the company's day-to-day accounting functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full set or partial set of accounts, depending on assigned portfolio.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and management accounts.
  • Issue invoices, official receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections when required.
  • Process supplier payments and staff claims.
  • Assist in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, government authorities, and other external parties.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Assist in year-end audit and other finance-related assignments.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and Malaysian statutory requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in property management, construction, or SME accounting is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, Kusimi or similar accounting systems is preferred.
