About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations (IR) Manager to lead the company's IR function, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, managing employee relations, and partnering with business leaders on complex workplace matters.
Candidates with experience in hospitality, manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, plantation, or other unionised environments are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are willing to relocate are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Industrial & Employee Relations matters, including grievances, misconduct, disciplinary actions, and domestic inquiries.
- Manage union relationships, collective bargaining, and collective agreement matters.
- Advise senior management on employment law, IR best practices, and risk management.
- Liaise with government authorities and external stakeholders on IR-related matters.
- Review and improve IR policies, SOPs, and compliance processes.
- Coach and train managers on disciplinary procedures, employment law, and employee relations.
- Lead and develop the IR team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of Industrial Relations or Employee Relations experience, including 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong experience in:
- Employment Act & Industrial Relations Act
- Union relations & collective bargaining
- Domestic inquiries & disciplinary case management
- Government liaison and employment law compliance
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Willing to relocate.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
