JOB SUMMARY

The position will be responsible for areas as designated by the Assistant Manager, Application Development – primarily focusing on analyzing and validating data, creating reports and dashboards, performing trend analysis, supporting data integration, and using automation and visualization tools to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making, along with any other relevant tasks as assigned.

This position requires a candidate with strong proficiency in Power BI and a good understanding of its technical functionalities, to support the growing use of Power BI across business units and provide in-house technical expertise. Experience in designing and building data warehouses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Business Intelligence & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the interface between IT and stakeholders for new solution implementation and technology adoption:

• Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support analytics initiatives.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence (BI) tools.
• Collaborate with business units to deliver data-driven solutions and build insightful data models.
• Conduct statistical analysis and trend forecasting to inform strategic management decisions.
• Investigate, validate, and resolve data-related issues to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure data compliance with Data Governance, IT Audit, and Security requirements.

2) Policy and Planning

• Assist and support the Assistant Manager, Application Development, Director, IT to implement and ensure compliance with all the policies relating to Information Technology

3) Documentation

• Develop and maintain various procedural and technical documents in areas such as data analysis

4) Vendor Relationship Management

• Develop and sustain relationships with application vendors by communicating and conducting regular reviews of status and issues.

5) Report

• Prepare and provide reports on the relevant information as and when needed by the Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field
• At least three (3) years of relevant working experience in any two of the following domains: data insights, dashboard development, data extraction, data modelling, statistical analysis, data validation, or data governance compliance.
• Supervisory experience managing 1–2 staff members is an added advantage
• Familiar in data query languages such as SQL, Python, or low-code platforms such as Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and extract insights from complex datasets.
• Familiar in designing interactive dashboards and presenting insights through dashboard and visualisation tools.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to both technical professionals and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to abstract and build data models for analysis.
• Ability to detect, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data issues to maintain accuracy and integrity.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
