Most roles in professional services ask you to do the same task a thousand times. This one asks you to do it once, build the system that does it well, then lead that system as it handles the rest - so your hours go to judgment, client work, and the next hard problem.

We are hiring an AI Manager: a sharp, meticulous, T-shaped operator who delivers corporate-services work to a lawyer’s standard, with AI agents and automation doing the repetition - and who will grow with us into mergers, acquisitions and business brokerage.

About Sequence

Sequence runs the back office for Singapore’s growth companies - corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, payroll and work passes - and we do it AI-first. We are trusted by 100+ businesses, we are growing fast, and we are expanding into legal and M&A advisory. You would join early, with real ownership and a front-row seat to how a modern firm gets built.

What you will do

– Own client delivery across corporate secretarial, accounting, FinOps and tax: ACRA filings and statutory registers, AGMs and annual returns, bookkeeping and management accounts, GST and corporate tax, payroll and work passes.

– Orchestrate, do not process. AI agents and automation pipelines handle the repetitive lifting; you direct them, check their work, and own the outcome.

– Draft to a lawyer’s standard. Documents, filings and client communications that are precise, complete and right the first time. Details do not slip past you.

– Build the firm’s edge. Improve the templates, checklists and automations that make every client faster to serve and harder for competitors to match.

– Work with people. Collaborate across the team and with clients, turning messy real-world situations into clean, compliant execution.

What you will grow into

We are standing up a business brokerage and M&A practice - confidential sale processes and transactions for Singapore SMEs. As that pillar scales, you scale with it: due diligence, data rooms, deal coordination and transaction support. The corporate-services foundation you build here is exactly the grounding that strong deal execution stands on. This is a path from compliance into advisory, not a fixed seat.

– A strong communicator - genuine command of written and spoken English, able to draft clearly, accurately and persuasively.

– Meticulous and analytical - you catch the detail others miss and you treat accuracy as non-negotiable.

– At home with technology - you already use, or are genuinely excited to master, AI and automation tools as part of how you work.

– T-shaped and adaptive - happy to go deep on a problem and broad across the firm; you would rather learn three disciplines than master one and stop.

– Collaborative - you make the people around you better and you are easy to build with.

Here is what we are not looking for: the finished article. We do not expect you to arrive fluent in every corner of corporate secretarial, accounting, tax and M&A. We expect you to be sharp, meticulous and hungry to learn - and we will build the rest with you.

You will get better every week, the systems will get better every week, and we would far rather back someone with the raw ability and drive to grow than someone who has already plateaued.
