Role Description The Lead Java Developer is a contract, on-site role based in Putrajaya. This position is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. The role includes overseeing microservices architecture, guiding the implementation of Spring Framework components, reviewing code, and enforcing best practices in software development. The Lead Java Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical mentorship, participate in solution design discussions, and support troubleshooting and optimization of existing systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Software Development and Programming, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex applications.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework for building robust, enterprise-level solutions.
  • Experience with Microservices architecture, including designing, deploying, and integrating distributed services.
  • Background in leading technical teams, providing mentorship, and driving adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and application performance tuning is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and readiness to work on-site in Putrajaya.
